Which tribes live on Mount Elgon?

Mount Elgon is home to four tribes:

1) The Bagisu, a Bantu tribe

2) The Sabiny, a Nilotic tribe, part of the Kalenjin ethnic group on the Ugandan side

3) The Sabaot, part of the Kalenjin ethnic group on the Kenyan side of Mount Elgon

4) The Ndorobo, an ethnic minority

In and around Kapchorwa, 90% of the population belongs to the Sabiny tribe and about 10% Bagisu. Both tribes practice circumcision, though have a quite different way of performing it. The Bagisu are known for their entrepreneurial mindset. In the past there have been fight between the Sabiny and Bagisu tribe, but nowadays they live together peacefully in the serene Elgon mountains.
